The first and most important building block of this regimen is a medical-grade anti-aging skincare system, i.e. a product line or combination of product lines that include cleansers, exfoliators, toners, moisturizers, problem-solvers, and anti-aging products for the skin.

As skin ages, the body’s ability to replace skin cells slows down and more and more dead skin cells build-up. Chemical peels are performed to achieve better skin tone and to remove fine lines, especially on the face. The chemical solution removes outer layers of skin that are damaged by age, sun, acne, wrinkles or pigmentation problems.

The chemical peels at Emerald Coast Med Spa are unique to our spa. The treatments are made up from a local compounding pharmacy so our ingredients are much fresher than our competitors and several of the treatments were designed and created by Stephanie Wilbanks.
DERMA PEEL
The Derma Peel is a medical procedure that starts with removing a layer of dead skin cells with a process called dermaplaining, this allows for deeper penetration into the skin. Next, depending on your skin type, we determine what strength of peel to do. The treatment then consists of removing comedones (blackheads/whiteheads) resulting in a smoother soft look (clarity).
DERMA PEEL PLUS
This treatment works into the deeper layers of the skin. The acid used for this peel has more antimicrobial properties to help reduce the effects of acne, fine lines, and sun damage. Created by Stephanie Wilbanks, this treatment can only be found at Emerald Coast Med Spa.
MED PEEL
This fabulous treatment penetrates the deeper layers of skin. The Med-Peel helps stimulate the renewal process and is excellent for sun damage (hyperpigmentation), fine lines and wrinkles and reducing the appearance of acne, leading to great skin health.

OBAGI BLUE RADIANCE
Obagi Blue RADIANCE provides instant radiance—tighter, smoother, brighter-looking skin after just one use. Instant, radiant results for most skin types. Improves a range of skin concerns, including photo/sun damage, and results in an overall improvement in texture and tone with little-to-no downtime. A series of 4 to 6 peels provides best overall results.
OBAGI BLUE PEELTM (TCA)
Obagi Blue Peel is the creation of Dr. Zein Obagi, a dermatologist from Beverly Hills renowned for his expert knowledge on chemical peels. The Obagi Blue Peel is a chemically superior peel that achieves optimum skin resurfacing in comparison to other invasive medical skin resurfacing procedures. This peel is highly recommended by the staff at Emerald Coast Med Spa to aid in tightening of the skin, sun damage (hyperpigmentation), and acne.
Micro Needling
Microneedling (a.k.a. collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
COLLAGEN P.I.N.
With our Collagen P.I.N treatment, the skin starts repairing itself immediately after treatment. In fact, a single Collagen P.I.N treatment is good enough to activate fibroblasts (the cells synthesizing fresh collagen) for up to a year. Elastin production and fresh collagen leads to younger, plumper, firmer, and healthier skin – helping decrease the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne marks for a completely enhanced skin texture and tone. Collagen P.I.N., which stands for Percutaneous Induction Therapeutic Micro-Needling, is a new way to obtain younger looking skin without surgery. HOW IT WORKS
The Collagen P.I.N. is extremely fast. Because it’s powered by a motor, it delivers efficient and superior results. The needle is able to pierce the skin with speed and ease and the patient in return is provided with a far more comfortable procedure. In addition to this, each treatment is able to be customized depending on the patient and the results they would like. The needle is not fixed but instead is adjustable so it can reach different depths in the skin. Why is this needed? Because lines and wrinkles on the face are all different depths and require different treatment. This is one of the differences between the latest technology in needling devices and what was used before. The Collagen P.I.N. is able to apply the depth necessary during each treatment.
Before treatment, a serum is applied to the skin (most probably hyaluronic acid). This serum helps the micro-needle cartridge work its way smoothly across the surface of the patient’s skin, creating several thousand micro-channels each second in the process. These micro-channels stimulate the healing process for a fresh, new layer of skin.
