Although Perlane and Restylane are part of the same family, they do have their differences. Perlane was designed with larger particles in order to give longer lasting results when compared to Restylane. These larger particles give Perlane an edge because they are more difficult for the body to break down, creating a longer “life cycle” for the product. The larger particles are also instrumental in reducing the appearance of harsher lines and wrinkles. However, since the molecules of Restylane are smaller, it is often chosen for other areas of the face.
Perlane and Perlane-L may be two parts of the Restylane “family”, but it’s no secret as to why many clients choose Perlane and Perlane-L for areas with larger volume loss.
